ABOUT THE FILM

Following repeated let downs with online dating, Diana, a middle age single mother tries a less conventional form of dating; becoming a penpal to a prisoner. When she finds a real life connection with inmate Jeff, her live-in, agoraphobic, conspiracy theory obsessive son unearths evidence that suggests her new love interest may not be the safest choice for his mom. Following an altercation between mother and son, frequent ride-share and food delivery driver Lamont finds himself playing a vital role in mending the family’s rift. Written by Kathryn Mallinson and Directed by Malcolm Taylor, Love Locked In is a hilarious and honest depiction of love in the age of online dating, and the impossibly complicated dynamics of the modern day family.
