Love & Loss - Mutual aid for Jen & the kids

Our dear friend Jennifer is losing her "lemonade partner". Jen's partner Doug has been battling an illness for a few years and after spending the last two weeks in hospital, he is now at home on hospice care living his last few days surrounded by family.

Jen and Doug have known each other since childhood. What started out as a long distance falling-in-love between California and Oregon evolved into Doug moving here to Oregon to be with Jen when they reconnected 7 years ago. They made plans to grow old together and joked about being "lemonade partners" sitting on the front porch sipping lemonade in their rocking chairs as elders. Now their time together is being cut painfully short.

As many of you know, Jen works as an amazing, well-loved hair stylist. Plan as we all do for the unexpected, there are times when we need the support of others. Jen has not been able to work much in recent weeks with Doug's hopsitalization. As she says goodbye to him at home, and makes  plans to lay him to rest, she is losing a significant amount of income. As you also know, they have two teenage kids to care for and they will need all the support they can get, especially as Jen journey's through her own grief while supporting Amari and Rozlynn through the loss of Roz’s father.
