Last night my 9 year old nephew went to a normal birthday party at a popular birthday destination in Meridian Idaho. Somehow he ended up leaving the party in an ambulance and rushed to the ER for trauma surgery because his eye had been so severely damaged by a golf club that hit him very hard in the eye/face.
We hoped the doctors would be able to save his eye and his sight, but unfortunately... after a 3 hour surgery, they were able to save the eye, but he has lost his eyesight in the damaged eye.
This little boy is incredibly active and has been since he was 2. Always on the go, wanting to learn something and master something new. At the age of 2, he mastered a skateboard - As seen here - https://youtu.be/NM87w3ZT2hg
Unfortunately he will have to relearn how to do some of these things with his vision loss.
As with all these types of tragedies, there are going to be expenses that insurance will not cover. As of right now, it also seems that there will be the possibility of additional surgeries. Anything helps, including prayers/positive energy. Thank you.
