Love Support n Prayers for Dawn Ford

My name is Missy Alcorn. I am asking for help from the community for a lifetime resident that is currently going through an aggressive battle with cancer. If you know Dawn Ford you think of sunshine with big hugs accompanied by a warm and loving smile. She was a bartender at the pilot house for 26yrs and work for Dr bees for 8yrs. Her son Jon ace is a senior in high school.

Dawn is having a port inserted near her heart this morning 4/13/23. at Cooper in Camden. Dawn was diagnosed again with Colon/Rectal Cancer 3 yrs to the exact date she had before. When she had 8 hr. surgery 3 yrs ago there were 3 cystic tumors. The doctors thought they had gotten it all but didn't. With this type of cancer, it spread with blood flow throughout her intestines. Bowels* now it has infected other organs. Stage 4 Colon/ ectal Cancer that has Metastasized throughout other organs. Dr.’s found tumor on her check-up in February and now there are 2 more. INTENSE…… CHEMO port near heart+ every other week she's going for extra 5/6 hr. infusions.

We all have some connection with this horrific monster that has taken some of our moms n dads, aunts and uncles, friends, children or neighbors. It doesn't discriminate as we all know.

Dawn is in fight mode. She's ready to put on her gloves and get in the ring and give it everything she's got.
