Love & Support to the Chavez Family during this tragic loss.

The Dallas Hispanic Firefighters Association is assisting the Chavez family during this difficult time.

On October 19, 2024 Dallas Fire-Rescue lost one of our firefighters, Jose E. Chavez. Jose unfortunately lost his battle against mental illness. He leaves behind his wife Melissa and infant Santiago, as well as his other 3 children, Lily, Julia and Lucas.

As we help the family navigate through this difficult process, we are reaching out to our fire family, our Dallas community and everyone who sees this opportunity to assist... you can donate monetarily, with gift cards for food and baby needs (formula/diapers) and/or regular needs such as rent, utilities or services (yard work, cleaning, etc.)
