Love Vasumi Healing Fund

Our beloved Vasumi was bitten by a Rough Scale snake whilst alone at night up on the land at Mt Burrel. She had to walk in the dark to a neighbour's house to get help. An Ambulance came and took her to the hospital. (This photo was taken before the venom kicked in... see updates below for how our dear Vasumi looks currently... all swollen and jaundiced!!!)

They were unable to determine what kind of snake had bitten her, so gave her Brown snake and Tiger snake anti-venom. Trying to process all 3 venoms in her system has overloaded Vasumi's kidneys.

It now looks like she'll require 2 months of daily dialysis to restore her kidney function and get back to full health. We are looking to find a small house to rent for her close to the hospital, so she can easily go for her daily dialysis, as well as have visits from friends and beloveds.

At present she is still in ICU but her condition has improved slightly and she may be moved to the dialysis ward in the next days.

The Gofundme will hope to cover rent, car hire, food, medical and living expenses (as she won't be able to work whilst receiving treatment) for the next 2-3 months whilst we help support her to a full recovery.
