Solar & Recovery Aid 4 Puerto Rico
LONG-TERM RECOVERY FOR PUERTO RICO
YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS WILL DIRECTLY SUPPORT LOCAL FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES RECOVER AND GET BACK ON TRACK.
Update
Bifrost Corporation is joining DUO, a long-term disaster relief organization in preparing shipments of various types of aid which will be grouped into custom 'Bucket' packages to help families in the remote areas of Puerto Rico and in Culebra.
Based on the reports from various engineers and builders, we know that it will take years to build the infrastructure to stabilize the island. Our goal is to provide immediate relief with aid providing food, clothing, building supplies, solar energy, communications and water filters.
The distribution of the supplies will be a combined effort of various groups including a network of professors, students, and small business owners already on the ground helping communities with recovery and rebuilding.
How we got here, with your help
It has been over 3 months since two back to back hurricanes have bisected the entire island of Puerto Rico leaving so many people with destroyed homes and little access to water, gas, electricity, and communication.
The first part of our efforts involved sending chains saws, generators, solar chargers, phones with hotspots, and batteries. With the help of so many individuals and private companies, this effort has provided for many in need throughout the Island and Culebra. We have inspiring stories of our contributions saving lives and re-connecting families & communities.
Thank you everyone!
This is a grassroots effort towards the island's recovery.
You can join us by sharing our fundriasing efforts to your friends and family and giving what you can as every bit counts. From the beginning, we have been overwhelmed by the displays of generosity and kindness of private companies and individuals like yourself, who have shown their support.
We will be updating on this page, FB and Instagram.

My name is Susie Kim. I am a co-founder and Artistic director for Newfilmmakers Los Angeles and have been producing the science and art documentary Bifrost into the Aurora. Based out of Puerto Rico for the past 3 years, we have been working with Students and scientist from the University of Puerto Rico.
By luck, I was in Los Angeles when the hurricanes hit. I was able to maintain communications with our production team, friends, and the university students to understand how to best help.
Working together with friends, families, and companies in the US, we organized to address the immediate needs of the island which is energy, connectivity, and clean water.
Thank you from friends and supporters of Bifrost Corp, Puerto Rico Space Grant Consortium, University of PR, our non-profit partner DUO and all of the small business owners, entrepreneurs and creative artists affected by Maria.
Banco Popular Foundation has generously provided a safe working environment so the student can continue their work for the NASA space grant.
