Medical Relief for Connie Sprague

Sometime ago our mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. After a couple of years of clean living and hope that this would correct her condition, her body began to succumb to the effects of the disease. Since Fall; she has been in and out of hospital stays and doctors have determined that her MELD(mortality) scores are high enough, that she has a good chance of getting a liver transplant pretty fast. Between the last two doctor visits this month we discovered those scores went from 17 to 22, you’re deceased when your score is 35.

With all that said, she is currently waiting to be put on the transplant list and we are remaining hopeful that it will come sooner than later.  My family is a working class family and doesn’t have much, if any,  money saved to live on as our mom fights to survive. 

While she does have health insurance it’s just not enough to help with all her medical and every day expenses she’ll accrue while being out of work, which at this stage seems indefinite. 

Connie is 56, she’s a wife of 40 years, a mother to my sister Hilary and I, and a grandmother. She’s too young to be in this much pain and has so much life left to live. We know our friends and family are amazing and would appreciate if you could give whatever you could so we can keep our mom for many more years to come.
