Ethan was out adventuring as he always does, with his grandpa and suddenly a large branch fell and struck him on his head causing significant brain damage to his young 9 year old brain. A fun time can became an emergency faster than anyone could ever imagine! Ethan is a single child to his parents Paul and Kara Lehman. As most family and friends of the Lehman’s know, they are wonderful, fun and loving people of a great family and awesome to be around! Paul is an Iraqi Freedom Veteran and Railroad Engineer and Kara is a Medical Coder, both who would do nothing else and have vowed to be at their only child’s bedside....From Ethan’s momma, “Ethan is an empathetic, sweet, good little boy who loves ice skating, swimming, playing video games and watching YouTube.
He is 9 years old and is in 4th grade at McKinley Elementry in Stevens Point. He enjoys spending time with his cousins, and family, along with his cat, Wolfie and guinea pig, Mabel. He was injured by a falling tree branch while playing in the woods on Saturday (10/20/18), which resulted in severe head and brain trauma. He has under gone 14 hrs intensive surgery in the last three days to remove skull portions, repair the right orbit and nose, remove a tooth from his lung and removed damaged brain tissue in the right frontal lobe. Currently he is in critical condition and on assisted ventilation. Ethan has a long way to go, but we are extremely hopeful.”- Kara Lehman
