Love for Tristan

"Sammie, I see the head! He's out baby!"
I sucked in and went through one last push. It stung. I felt him sliding out of me--and then it was over.
Instantly, tears sprung into my eyes. Relief flooded through my body.
Where was my baby?
That's when I heard his cry for the first time. My heart dropped. A love immediately spread throughout my entire body. That tiny little alien was my son!
There are some moments in life that are engraved not only in our hearts, but our very souls forever. The first time I saw my son was among the most magical, spiritual, freeing moments of my life.
When I held him in my arms, I realized what all mothers told me was true: my life changed forever.

Tristan Thorup was born April 22, 2016 just hours after his Mom graduated from BYU. Though he was born three weeks and a few days early, he was born healthy and within no time had his parents wrapped around his little finger.
For five wonderful weeks Samantha & Michael Thorup lived a beautiful life with their son.
On May 28th, 2016 Tristan passed away in his sleep, became an angel and returned home to his Father in Heaven. The cause is still unknown.
Sammie is my best friend. My heart aches for her and her family in this moment and for the years of heartache and healing ahead. Please help us make sure medical bills and funeral costs won't be part of that future.
Thank you for your love for Tristan and the Thorup Family.
