Jenny Craig's Medical Assistance

January of 2014 was when Jenny was diagnosed with breast cancer. In July of 2015, she received her bilateral mastectomy and a hysterectomy that following January. As her recovery was well on its way, Jenny was looking forward to returning to her career, one of which she had spent over 25 years building. She missed her clients, and the social hour she shared with them during each hair cut, eyebrow wax, and highlight. On April 11th, 2016, Jenny was excited to get her release from the doctor to return to work. But then, two weeks ago, Jenny received some unexpected news: the doctors had found two masses, one on her lung and the other on her colon.
My mother is the most courageous person I know. She is strong and beautiful in dozens of ways. She is kind and compassionate, and has a very strong will to live, just as her father, my grandfather, did. However, with the pressing issues at hand, it has been easy for her to stumble in courage. She has and is currently raising myself, and two other daughters. With the upcoming surgeries that must be immediately scheduled, my mother faces the risk of missing my graduation. This idea feels like a punch to the gut, and I know it haunts my mother. My stepdad is also expected to take even more time off work in order to take care of my mother. With no one in the house working full time, this could present issues with being able to properly provide for the younger girls and manage the seemingly growing stack of bills and medical expenses.
The goal that has been set for this fundraiser is merely a ballpark estimate, for we have no idea what obstacles we will face in the future. Since I am leaving for college in the fall, I will be unable to assist my parents in taking care of the kids and mom so that my stepfather can go to work to make a source of income. This worries me greatly, and has thus lead me to setting up this account. Any amount in favor of my mom's cause will graciously be accepted, and we thank you. Love always.
