Loving father struck by unimaginable tragedy.

UPDATE: DJ wants everyone to know that his beautiful little princess Kassidy Reign is receiving lots of love from Daddy, Grandma, and the entire family. She is now drinking from her bottle and gaining weight faster than she was expected to. He knows that her beautiful mother is looking down from heaven on her, their baby boy, and him and that she will be guiding him in the days, weeks, and years to come. He asks for your continued prayers for Kassidy Reign to be able to leave the hospital soon, for God to give him the strength needed now, and for the entire family that is mourning this loss.

Hi, my name is Latisha and I am fundraising for my brother David, who is affectionately known by the family as DJ. DJ is the loving father of 5 children, including a brand new baby girl born March 27th. During what was considered an exciting time, planning for the new baby, looking forward to welcoming a fifth edition to the family, thinking about who she would favor and how her siblings would spoil her, tragedy struck, causing DJ to lose the love of his life and have to face a future raising their baby boy and new daughter alone. DJ is a truck driver and that profession consists of long days and sometimes nights making deliveries throughout Georgia and surrounding states. He has not been able to work since this happened and will not be able to return to work for some time. In this profession, you only get paid if you work. As we all know, the bills will continue to come and now he is faced with establishing a one-parent household. This gofundme is to provide financial support for DJ during this time which will allow him an opportunity to take some time to grieve his loss, have the opportunity to look at all of his options for care and assistance for the children, and work with his employer for a future date to return to work.
