Loving Livie - Helping Olivia McC
Donation protected
My name is Brian and I am trying to raise funds to help my daughter Olivia during this very devastating time in her life. Livie was diagnosed with cancer after experiencing dizziness and pain. She was taken to the emergency room on February 29th. A large tumor was found surrounding her brain stem and she was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on March 1st. Livie has been receiving care and treatment at CHOP ever since that day. She has suffered paralysis over parts of her body causing her to be unable to perform every day tasks. She has faced pain constantly and has had surgical procedures and intense physical therapy for hours every day. Livie will be starting a clinical trial soon if she meets all the requirements to participate. No one has ever seen a teenager work as hard as Livie to try and accomplish the tasks she is faced with despite the pain and fear she is experiencing . She has amazed me and the staff at CHOP ( the staff is incredible) and brings tears to my eyes as I watch her work so hard. Livie is my hero.
I have been at CHOP and the Ronald McDonald House this whole time and have been unable to work. Plans for Livie to leave CHOP are being made and we will be needing help with providing her with caregivers, medical equipment, transportation and whatever we can do to give her some quality of life during the coming months. If you can help me help Livie I will be very grateful. Thank you so much.
