Loving Las Vegas Mother taken too soon from COVID
In loving memory of
Maria Ascencion Garcia-Rodelo ❤️
A 56 yo beautiful, loving soul was taken from us and this world too soon ! The world just doesn’t make any sense, nowadays, and the Garcia family is trying to grieve during these hard times. The last thing I want for them is to stress about money. This all happened so fast and was very unexpected. Maria was the primary income and the glue for this family. With all the medical, food, mortgage and funeral expenses I ask for your help.. from the bottom of my heart. This family doesn’t deserve this heartache.
Its hard to believe this is the reality:
On 3/25, Maria was on her way to work like any normal day (shes worked at a Las Vegas hotel for over 15yrs). Later on, she was sent home because she just was not feeling well.
On 3/29, Maria told her daughter something just didn’t seem right, it was hard for her to breathe and asked her to call the ambulance. Arriving at the hospital, Maria had all the signs of Covid, couldn’t breathe on her own and was immediately intubated and tested. Family was told we would get results back for 3days. We are not allowed to go to hospital, we cannot go see her, we can only call the nurses station for updates.
Around 4/6, I received an update about Maria and how she was positive for Covid-19 andher lungs fluid in them. But she was improving and how the nurses said she was one of the healthier cases that they have seen from when she first came in. That was the last update I heard. Every day after that, her health seemed to stay the same. I remained optimistic and hopeful since we were getting positive news and she’s such a strong woman!
4/11 night, around 11:30pm, I got a call that they have started compression on our sweet Maria. Her lungs were completely filled with fluid and her heart just couldn’t handle another day on the ventilator. She fought for her life immensely!!
1am Easter Sunday, God decided to take back his angel
Maria was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and a friend to anyone that came into her path! She was married to her husband David Garcia for 25+years and have known each other since 17 yo. Her 7 beautiful children: Sergio (34), Misael(27), Lisa (26), Pamela (24), Eleazar(22), Eliseo(20), Rutillo(18).Her grandchildren Maya(11), Levi (1), and Emmie (1) will all miss her dearly. As your Birthday approaches 5/7/2020, we’re holding tight to all the amazing memories we have with you and keeping your love alive.
If you could help donate to Maria and the Garcia family, your generosity will be greatly appreciated !
xoxo the family friend,
Kaylie
