Loving Support for Sarah, Glen & Mela

Dear Ones -
On May 4, 2021 our beloved Dr. David Lertzman left this earthly plain much too soon through an encounter with whom he would call the Great One or Brother Bear. We are heartbroken, shattered and in utter shock. He was so much to so many - our friend, brother, teacher, mentor, muse, amazing father to Glen & Mela (ages 9 & 5 yrs.) and dedicated husband to our dearest Sarah. A trail breaker, fierce scholar, gifted musician and singer/songwriter, an avid outdoorsman, defender and child of this Great Green Earth, we are left in his wake celebrating all that he did, all that he was and all that he Loved.
The adjacent grief is as wide as it is deep. David's impact on everyone he met required an embodied presence that is rare to meet. He changed so many of our lives, inspired us to be better, to stand taller and take care of one another.
So it is time for us to do just that. The outpouring of love and support has been nothing short of astonishing in recent days and a testament to who David was and how we was in community. It's our turn to take care of him and his family. The road ahead for them is uncertain and we want to help ease some of the burden to come. This campaign is aiming to gather a general emergency relief fund for Sarah and family to use at their discretion in the short or long term.
Please share this with others in the wide circle of Love that surrounds this family. We respect and understand that not everyone will be able to contribute financially. Your thoughts, prayers and songs for David are also received with deep gratitude.
A Thousand Thank-Yous Upon You. We love you, David.
