Loving the Burnette Family

Our dear friend, husband, father, and teacher, Matthew Burnette, has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a devastating neurodegenerative disease.

Matthew and Lori have been married for nineteen years and are raising three amazing kids - Jeb (17), Jesse (15), and June (2) - and have a daughter, Sadie, in heaven. Matthew has been a teacher for two decades and a youth pastor for over five years. For those that have been under his guidance and teaching, you have inevitably experienced his passion for family, nature, good music, and constant learning. Moreover, you've encountered what makes Matthew an incredible man and Christ-follower: unwavering honesty, faithfulness, and authenticity. Matthew and Lori’s vision is to ensure the Burnette family continues to thrive through the complexity of the disease, expecting the resurrection power of Christ while using the wisdom of Solomon to prepare.
