Loving the Guillory Family

I'm Jess, and Hannah Guillory has been a dear friend of mine for nearly 20 years. After investigating health concerns for some months, Hannah suddenly began experiencing intense sciatica pain. Visits to Urgent Care and primary care yielded little in the way of help. Finally, one doctor took up the mantle and referred her to someone she never expected: an oncologist. Her words on tests and results from yesterday:

"He said he had bad news. He said it’s sarcoma. He said it started in my uterus but it looks like it’s spread to my liver, lungs, and bones. He said they won’t know for sure exactly what is going on until they did the biopsy, so he was sending me downstairs for a direct admit to the hospital.

And then he hugged me.

I walked out of that office, called my husband, and broke down right there in front of the elevators."

Jess here again - I'll include more of her words later as I can, but given the monumental fight ahead, I wanted to lead the charge in providing not just prayer support, but financial support for the Guillorys. As of now, they are looking at a costly medical battle, and considering pulling their kids from the extracurriculars they love so much in anticipation of medical bills. My goal for this fundraiser is two-fold: to provide funding to cover Hannah's treatment, but also to provide the kind of financial security they need to allow their kids to stay in the activities they love during this disrupted time in their lives.
