Kirtlington Village Hall Clean Energy Project
Sustainable Kirtlington is raising funds to install solar photo voltaic panels on our Village Hall's south-facing roof, backed up by a battery system to store the clean power that is generated.
This will benefit all users of Kirtlington Village Hall by reducing utility bills and eliminating harmful greenhouse gas emissions from our power supply.
We are also raising funds to install 2 electric vehicle charging points on the car park side of the hall. This is in anticipation of more users of the hall shifting to electric vehicles and needing somewhere to charge. The total project cost is £38,000.
We need funds within the next two months as we must complete the project before the Government's subsidies for solar PV Feed-in-Tariffs (FIT scheme) conclude in April 2019.
Your support will mean that we can complete the path to a fully sustainable community facility in Kirtlington that serves all our community groups.
Everyone who donates will be personally acknowledged and receive a dedication on the Village Hall Clean Energy Project noticeboard.
We are very grateful to Viridor Credits for grant funding of £20,000 and the Oxford Low Carbon Hub for grant funding of £5,000, which is allowing the project to go ahead with your vital support.
