Lozitsky Family Tragedy
This GoFundMe is set up by Olesya Fedorchuk, sister-in-law to mother Liliya Lozitsky who's family is affected. Funds will be withdrawn by immediate family member Dmitriy Fedorchuk, brother to Liliya. So Liliya can focus on her family and supporting Lily who is in the hospital, Dmitriy will be managing and overseeing all funds collected on the GoFundMe campaign. 100% of what is collected is for Liliya and the Lozitsky family as sole/true beneficiaries. Per the request of Liliya, photos of the family are not included on the GoFundMe page.
The funds will go to pay for funeral expenses, medical bills, the home mortgage, utility bills, food and necessities for the family.
On Monday June 28th, Veniamin Lozitsky (age 37) and his 6 young children went fishing at Berea Metroparks near Wallace Lake.
Lily (age 11), cooling off from the hot weather, unexpectedly stepped into a part of the river that had a sudden drop.
Veniamin, seeing Lily drowning in the water, rushed in to try to save her, followed by sibling Luke (age 10) who also tried to help.
The younger children who were witnesses (age 2.5-8) ran to the road screaming for help and attempted to stop someone to call 911.
By the time someone came to their aid and emergency crew arrived, Lily, Veniamin, and Luke had been underwater for over 20 minutes.
Lily was pulled from the water by an officer and taken to the hospital, then life-flighted to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.
Rescue workers found Veniamin and Luke almost an hour after they went under.
Veniamin and Luke were transported to Southwest Hospital in Middleburg Heights, and were pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Father and son are now resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
"..according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:20-21
May God's name be glorified even through this terrible tragedy.
Lily is still alive and currently fighting for life, but the prognosis is not good. At this time, everything is in God's hands.
The total number of children in the Lozitsky family was eight.
Six currently remain safe with mother Liliya Lozitsky, and are between the ages of 6 months and 13 years old.
Liliya Lozitsky and the remaining children are devastated to have lost a beloved husband and father, son and brother. We are all praying for little Lily and begging God to have mercy.
Any donations during this horrible time are appreciated, as Veniamin was the sole provider of the family.
May God bless you one-hundred-fold.
Please keep the family in your prayers. All funds raised will be used to benefit Veniamins's wife and children.
Anyone who is a Cleveland local is encouraged to donate at the Church of Evangelic Faith, where a bereavement fund has been established and 100% of funds will go directly to the family.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21: 4-5
