LPP Feeds NYC Heroes
Donation protected
During these past few weeks, New Yorkers have been coming to grips with overwhelming new circumstances. Countless people have been courageously putting everything they have, day and night, into protecting and helping keep us safe and healthy.
It has always been a huge part of Lexington Pizza Parlour’s mission to give back to our local community. As this crisis grows more and more severe with each passing day, we want to do our part on a much larger scale and feed as many people working on the frontlines of this virus as possible. This is our primary initiative for as long as the crisis continues.
So far, with the help of generous and selfless donations, we have been able to make daily deliveries of 100’s of meals to volunteers and healthcare professionals- sometimes 2-3 times a day! During the past couple of weeks, we have dropped off our food to places such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, various Mount Sinai and Columbia Hospital locations, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and the Central Park temporary hospital. We are delivering fresh pasta, pizzas, salads, and our delicious, homemade - Harlem Baking Co desserts!
Our fund for ‘LPP Feeds NYC Frontlines’ began as a Venmo donation account, but we are now shifting our platform to GoFundMe to make it easier for everyone. We have set our goal for this month at $50,000 which will be enough to fuel our donations for the next 4 weeks. For every $50 donated, we are able to feed 5-7 people. Every cent goes toward this initiative and we will continue to set goals for the months to come.
Please consider donating to our cause so that we may continue to help keep our heroes strong! We will be keeping everyone updated via this GoFundMe page and through our Facebook and Instagram (@lexpizzaparlour) during the coming weeks and months, on how your donation is helping us fulfill our mission. If you know anyone on the frontlines that is in need of catered meals, please tell them to reach out to us! Thank you to our brave heroes and to our generous donors. We will get through this together.
Love,
The LPP Family
