Agnes is a disabled lady who lives on 750 dollars a month. Her mortgage is over 400 a month which is more than half her income. She has fallen four months behind and the bank is threatening forclosure and has also added fees. In addition, they have refused any partial payments. Agnes is a sweet soul who raised her girls on her own after the break up of her marriage more than 20 years ago. She was a stay at home mom prior to the divorce and later went to work; however, she did not have enough years in prior to becoming disabled to recieve a sufficient disability payment which would allow her to comfortably pay her mortgage and utilities. She is behind by 1,838 and still owes 45,000 on her property to date. We all have our problems, but I hope that together we can still make a difference in this lovely woman's life. She has endured many struggles and abuse in her past and I am hoping we can give her a bit of compassion and empathy and prove that we as humans can come together to help each other in times of crisis. Agnes has already been taken advantage of by a man who took some items she was selling and said he'd be back with the money and never returned. Let's show her there are still good people in the world who care.
