Lt Colonel James E. Johnson (Retired)

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Darius Johnson, on behalf of my siblings, Yonsuetta and Damien Johnson, we are sadly notifying all that our father, James Earl Johnson, passed away on December 17, 2023. His last days were in Manilla, Philippines. James was born July 29, 1949, in Alexander, LA. He is a Peabody Magnet High School graduate with the class of 1967. Our father continued his education at Northwestern State University, graduating in 1972 with a bachelor's degree with an accounting concentration. One of his proudest achievements is that he was one of the first black commissioned officers from the university.

He entered the US Army as an active-duty Quartermaster officer on January 1, 1972. He retired as a Lt Colonel on June 30, 1994 having honorably served at several duty stations across the continental United States (to include the Pentagon), Korea, Panama, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, and participating in secret missions. As a Grenada wartime hero, he served honorably in the military and in the hearts of his kids, family, and friends. Our dad touched many and has had an impact on sharing his love, ideas, and business acumen. As a of beacon of the light sharing, we ask that you assist in keeping this light lit and support our efforts to get our father home, as we've uncovered no military assistance is allowed due to his retirement status and no insurance.

Sincerely,
Darius, Yonsuetta, and Damien Johnson
