Luca Nasti and Family Expenses

As many of you know, Luca Nasti, age 6, fell head first into a creek bed on July 24, 2020. He needed to be life flighted to Indianapolis Riley Children's Hospital with an Indent Skull Fracture and two small brain bleeds. They had to perform an emergency craniotomy and removed a small portion of his skull to allow his brain room to swell. He has had to be intubated, and a feeding tube put in place, as well as a transfusion and medication to regulate his blood pressure. His mother, Jamie Burress, has been up at the hospital with him alone due to covid and his father, Peter Nasti, having to return to work until he has had his FMLA (Family Medical Leave of Absence) approved to excuse his absence. As it stands, the hospital says Luca will need to remain in the hospital for a minimum of another 3 weeks for continued hospital care and therapy. Moving forward, Jamie and Peter will need help financially with the expenses it will take to remain Indianapolis(food and lodging), travel to and from Paoli to Indianapolis, any care for their youngest son Mikah Nasti, and help making up the difference for their regular bills at home with both Jamie and Peter not being able to work.  While some companies do pay FMLA, many do not. The companies that do only pay a small portion of regular pay. Like a lot of families, any cut in regular income can be devastating without all of the extra expenses the Nasti family is now faced with.  It is our hope that we can all come together during this difficult time to try to help ease their financial burden and allow them to focus on Luca's recovery.  Any donation is more help than you know, and more appreciated than can be expressed.
