Lucas' Pit Crew

On behalf of our family we are asking for some help as we have been dealing with an awful lot of stressful things. First of all Lucas, our 17 year old, who also has Autism,  was diagnosed with AML Leukemia on June 23, 2017, our 27th wedding anniversary-not much of a present.  Since then he has had numerous procedures, surgeries, blood and special platelet transfusions, MRI’s, CT scans, X-Rays, Three different feeding tubes, complications involving infections both fungal and bacteria in nature,  6 Rounds of Chemotherapy, Radiation, etc. Now we are gearing up for his bone marrow transplant next month and the costs so far are staggering as our own insurance company will not fully pay for a transplant, which is Lucas’ best option for him to live a long healthy life. In addition I am staying with him basically 24/7 as he requires round the clock care, Gio is working, but his pay has been lowered and no more perks like he had previously like bonuses, ability to take time off when needed and so forth.  Travis, who is 22, has Down Syndrome and can’t be left alone either so he stays at my parent’s house from Sunday-Friday and has been coping with all of the changes as best as possible.  In order to get Lucas back to OUR HOUSE we need to do some extensive remodeling to make it a safe and healthy environment for him to live.  We need to re-do bathrooms (which must be gutted), new floor and sink in the kitchen, floors refinished in the living room and ramps in the front of the house.  Unfortunately we do not have the money to achieve all of this as we have been having to deal with extra costs involving meals, transportation, medical equipment, medical supplies, etc.  Please help so that we can bring our Rock Star home, he has been through so much and yet never complains.  Money raised will be used to help defray some of these costs and every little bit helps.
