Lucas’s Legacy
Donation protected
So many of us in the Hingham Community have known Susan Flint through our local post office for many years. On December 18, 2018, when her son Lucas was killed by a drunk driver in Braintree, Susan made the generous decision to help Lucas save lives through the gift of organ and tissue donation. This gift has resulted in many lives saved, sparing other families from a loss similar to hers. The Hingham community was generous to Susan and her family in her time of need and she, despite her grief, has taken it upon herself to educate the community at large on the pure altruism of organ and tissue donation. Susan has rented a billboard space with her own funds to memorialize Lucas and encourage people to register to give the gift of life. This is an expensive endeavor, costing $500 a month. Susan has paid for the first 6 months but can’t be expected to sustain this. Many of you have asked if there was a way to help, so I’ve created this page as a way to do just that. Funds raised here will be used solely to keep his memory and billboard alive for as long as possible. Please give generously if you are able to, and remember the lessons that Susan and Lucas have taught us so gracefully.
