Lucie Joan’s 3rd fight against brain cancer

Donation protected
Hi my name is Jayne I’m Lucies mum
Thank you Friends family and Supporters,

We are reaching out to share the inspiring journey of Lucie Joan, a brave 14-year-old girl who is courageously fighting brain cancer for the third time. The tumour was diagnosed a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as ependymoma, since Lucie was just 10 years old she has been so positive and been fighting this!
Not only is she worried about what will happen she is now at the age where she wants to look beautiful and pretty all the time and is heartbroken she may lose her hair again.

Lucie has undergone three life-saving craniotomy surgeries to remove tumors. Her strength and resilience through these challenges have been nothing short of remarkable. Lucie is supported by her 3 sisters who also find it devastating to watch their sister have to go through this all at such young ages when it should be filled with happy times instead our lives are controlled by cancer our choices have been snatched away! When all we want to do is create a happy world for our babies to grow up in!

Unfortunately, Lucie's battle is not over. Due to previous radiotherapy, her body cannot withstand it again, chemotherapy as her only option. This specialised treatment is available at The alder hey but it requires Lucie and our family to travel and spend time receiving it over 74 rounds of chemo over 6 week cycles which will take months/ years to receive.  both parents have had to leave work and this has created financial and emotional distress! Due to having other children we have so much so sort out and life at home does not just stop!

We are raising funds to cover:

Travel and treat costs for Lucie and her sisters during her treatment to help balance out the bad she has to deal with on a daily basis! giving lucie hope and the opportunity to feel like every other teen her age including expenses encountered through cancer while we are at hospital and things lucie may need as she is unable to go to school or use public transport or even go to busy places such as shops! importantly Special treats and activities to keep Lucie's spirits high during this difficult time, as lucie has also had a high line inserted into her chest she has to have specialist activities for her safety.

we are so unbelievably thankful for each and every person who supports Lucie in the fight of her life

lucie Joan is truly is unreal, she is a warrior, at just 14, demonstrates extraordinary bravery in her battle against brain cancer for the third time.
Facing such a challenging illness repeatedly requires immense strength and resilience. Her courage inspires not only those around her but also many who hear her story.

Each day, she confronts uncertainty with a fighting spirit, showing a remarkable ability to remain hopeful and positive despite the hardships.

Lucie’s journey exemplifies true bravery, showcasing her determination to persevere and live fully, even in the face of adversity.

thank you from the bottom of our hearts and with all our souls we are blessed to have people who love and support Lucie so much x
