Lucie runs for 'Herts Welcomes Refugees' Charity

I am Lucie and I am 11 years old. I love running and I love helping people in need, so I thought why don’t I find a way to combine both of these things.

My goal is to be able to run (or walk) over 120 km until half term holidays in February. I started on New Year’s Eve and have kept going ever since. So far, I have run around 30 kilometers, 90 more to go! I will be supporting the Herts Welcome Refugees, a charity to help refugees settle in the UK.

After travelling and living abroad this is a cause close to my heart and I was really touched by the recent stories about so many people being displaced and having to flee their countries.

I really hope you can help me supporting it by donating what you can.

And in the meantime, I will carry on running!
