Headstone for Lucille La Verne
Donation protected
Lucille La Verne. A name you may not know. But trust me, you DO know her. Well, you at least know her voice. Lucille was an actress of the stage and screen and appeared in a number of silent films including Orphans of the Storm (1921) and Zaza (1923), and talking pictures like Little Caesar (1931).
However, Lucille's best known work is as the voice of the Evil Queen/Witch in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937. It would be her last film role, and her lasting legacy. When Lucille died in 1945 at the age of 72, she was buried in an unmarked grave at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California. Seventy-five years after her death, we want to secure a proper headstone for her so that she can continue to be remembered for another 75 years.
Please consider donating to this campaign. Every little bit helps. If you can't donate, please help us spread the word so that we can get this Disney legend a memorial that she so deserves.
Thank you!
