Lucille Schik's Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Lucille Schik was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a Grade IV type of brain cancer on June 16, 2016.  Prior to her diagnosis, Lucille was complaining of headaches.  After seeing her eye doctor and subsequent MRIs, a tumor about the size of a
pool ball was discovered in Lucille’s little brain.  Surgery was scheduled immediately and the tumor was successfully removed.  Lucille began chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, but after a few months, a test revealed that chemo was not working.  Lucille would have to undergo full brain and spine radiation.  This type of radiation is very aggressive and may have many lifelong side effects that will require medical care. Her radiation schedule consisted of a 6 week, 5 days a week plan which she completed on October 21st, 2016!  Lucille will continue chemotherapy for several months starting mid-November.  Lucille’s parents, Lacey and Jason Schik grew up in New York Mills, MN and are raising their three children, Lucille (4), Millie (2), and Henry (1) just south of NYM.  Their family and friends are working to raise funds for Lucille's current and future medical expenses.

Lucille is a fighter and an inspiration to everyone she has met.  Her positive attitude and uplifting smile brings hope to everyone around her.  If you can, please help Lucille and her family by donating, it is very much appreciated!  Thank you for your support!
