Legacy LUCK Love for Brooke

Seven year old Brooke Hester has been battling for her life against stage IV Neuroblastoma Cancer for more than half of her life over the past four years. She has fought NONSTOP every single day for 1,566 days since her sudden diagnosis brought her world crashing down in November 2010 as the cancer in her bones and body had stolen her ability to walk. Her battle has never seen remission and has literally gone from one chemotherapy or radiation or surgery to the next. She has LOST HER HAIR SEVEN TIMES. For her care, her family must constantly leave their Texas home and has travelled all across the country in hopes to save her life and find her cure through clinical trials and individualized cancer care.
Currently Brooke goes back and forth to Michigan for extended periods while her father, Beau, who was raised in the Kennedale/Mansfield area, must constantly stay behind in Texas to work 7 days a week and maintain medical insurance. Medical copays, countless prescriptions, integrative therapies not covered by insurance, massive travel expenses for flying or driving and the cost of living and home schooling constantly on the go for so many years has made many difficult burdens for the family, especially since they had to go from a two income family to one as someone must constantly stay with Brooke for her medical care and hospitalizations. Brooke's mother, Jessica, had to leave behind her career and education to be a full time caregiver for Brooke and her baby brother, Benjamin.
Yet through strong FAITH and the LOVE and PRAYERS of friends and family, they have been able to overcome each financial obstacle. They know they would not be where they are with Brooke's life today without the supportive compassion of others. Because of the love in their lives over the years, it has allowed them to search in immense HOPE to find a cure for Brooke despite the challenges of her difficult battle with cancer.
