The Big Sleep Out for Lucy Adams House
Donation protected
Havebury Housing Partnership (Havebury) is hosting a sponsored sleep-out, which involves sleeping outside for the night, to get a glimpse of the conditions that those experiencing homelessness have to face on a daily basis.
Your contributions will directly benefit the residents of Havebury's homeless hostel, Lucy Adams House. Whether it's providing training for job opportunities, organising social outings, or equipment and training for essential life skills, your support will make a significant difference in their lives.
Lucy Adams House (formerly Tayfen House) is located in Bury St Edmunds and offers emergency and long-term accommodation for people experiencing homelessness aged between 18 and 65. The hostel was renamed in March 2024 in memory of Havebury colleague, friend and resident, Lucy Adams, who sadly passed away in 2022.
Emergency shelter comes in the form of two dormitory rooms where six people can be housed for up to 21 days. Meanwhile, there are 19 en-suite bedrooms for longer-term residents. They can stay for 18 months until they get back on their feet. In addition, Lucy Adams House also manages 32 units of supported accommodation in the community.
Thank you for your kind donation, it really will make a huge difference to the residents of Lucy Adams House.
