Lucy and Gussy join team USA in the Netherlands

Lucy and Gussy will play on a USA softball team in the Netherlands in The Cup tournament. They will be playing against Elite and Olympic European teams. Lucy and Gussy are looking for our community's support to help pay for travel and expenses.

Hi everyone! My name is Lucy Huskey; I am a junior at Sault Area High School. I am the daughter of Corrie and Rich Rath. I am the youngest of five; I have three older brothers and one older sister. I am involved in Students United, BPA, softball, volleyball, and the Hiawatha Skating Club. My hobbies are running, fishing, and traveling. I am very excited for this opportunity to play for the USA team and tour the Netherlands and France.

Hello! My name is Augusta Smith (Gussy); I am the daughter of Amber and Calvin Smith. I have two sisters, Audrey and Adeline. This year I will be a Junior at Sault Area High School. I am involved in Business Professionals of America (BPA), Student Government, Students United, softball and volleyball. I also enjoy raising and showing market animals during the summer at the Chippewa County Fair. My hobbies are running, hunting, and fishing. I am very excited for this opportunity.
