Lucy’s Ballet School Fund

Hi, my name is Lucy and I am a 19 year old dancer in training at Northern Ballet School. I currently work 3 part-time jobs to support my training and I am still struggling to cover all the costs that full-time dance training includes. Some of the things I am paying for include dance shoes, costumes, living costs, physiotherapy, train and bus passes - even down to hair and makeup products and this is all before paying my course fees! Dancing means everything to me and I am so fortunate to be able to do the thing I love every day, however it is definitely coming at a cost. I am constantly working to support myself but recently I have found out this will not be enough so I am reaching out to you to help me! It would mean the world to me if I could reach my target and be able to invest all my time in my art and my career, rather than constantly worrying about money.

I myself have previously raised money for charity, I have twice donated my hair to The Little Princess Trust, raising over £2,000 for this charity. I have also worked closely with the Salvation Army, UNICEF and Debra charities, volunteering for them at food banks, charity shops and fund raiser events in order to improve my local community. I strongly believe in helping others wherever possible and I want someday to set up a funding scheme for struggling dancers like myself. I hope that now is my chance to ask others to help me, and that if possible, you can please help me to pursue my passion.
