Lucy's Lemonade Stand 2023
Donation protected
September is childhood cancer awareness month, and this September the Donmoyer family is raising funds for pediatric cancer research!
Our daughter Lucy was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma in April of 2020. She completed her treatment in December of 2021, but relapsed in February of 2022. Lucy continues to fight to keep her disease at bey in hopes of a potential new treatment coming along that could literally be a life saver. Research is the only way we can make that hope a reality.
Last year was the first year we did Lucy's Lemonade Stand and were able to raise $22,090 through 23 lemonade stands.
This year, we are coordinating over 60 lemonade stands across the country and in Italy & Puerto Rico to raise awareness about the lack of funding pediatric cancer research receives and raise money to fund research grants for less toxic treatment options for pediatric cancer.
100% of the funds raised will go to Fourth and Gold, a local Jacksonville non-profit started by one of Lucy's nurses who is sick and tired of seeing kids suffer from the same limited amount of toxic treatment options available to kids fighting cancer. In 3 years, Fourth and Gold has raised enough money to fund 2 research grants aimed at developing less toxic treatments for 2 specific types of pediatric cancer.
We've created this GoFundMe as another donation option for people who want to support our cause who may not be able to physically get a glass of lemonade from one of our Lucy's Lemonade Stands.
