When I started this battle, I had no idea it would still be going on over a year later...

I especially didn't think it would take the toll it has on me the past several months.

They discovered the reason I wasn't sleeping was because my iron levels had dropped extremely low, exacerbating my restless leg syndrome.

I was excited to have an answer as to why I wasn't sleeping and I thought it was going to be an easy fix.

They scheduled me for Iron Infusions because I can't tolerate iron orally.

I had no idea the toll this would take on my body. My blood pressure levels have been uncontrollable since the first infusion.

I was already on a daily beta blocker for my heart but even taking extra didn't help. So we rushed me to my family doctor. She added a drug meant to specifically lower the diastolic blood pressure.

My diastolic pressure never went above 70 before the iron infusion. Now we are getting readings as high as 116.

I have consulted all my doctors. They say to keep an eye on it, keep my stress levels down, rest, take my medication and hopefully it will work itself out. They are also increasing my blood thinners but insurance has delayed that for several weeks already.

I haven't been able to work a full week since I was diagnosed with Lyme. But the past few months, I've been doing good to work a couple days a week. Currently I'm not working at all (unless Tim can go with me and then I can only work a couple hours) because of my blood pressure.

But my medication costs, supplement costs, doctors bills and regular bills unfortunately continue to add up.

I am not one to ask for help (to a fault) but I've tried making crafts to make money, I have tried the Amazon wish list and I have started a side business making dog bandanas and bows.

I know everybody has extra bills around the holidays so I understand if you can't help. If you can only give a little it will help.

If you have something I could do for you from home to make extra money, I'll be happy to do that as well.
