Lucy's mom needs some help!

My name is Lucy. You may know my mom Julie Ingalls. I came to live with her, my big sister Sophia and my little brother, Tony, about 5 1/2 years ago. Someone tossed me out of a car, and my mom's lovely friend picked me up. She couldn't keep me and asked my (soon-to-be) mom if she had room for one more. Well, that was that, and I have been running this house and keeping everyone on their toes ever since! If you have ever met me, you know I love EVERYONE! I am also very vocal about how much I love! I have a wonderful pack family -mainly Tony- he used to be very shy, and I took him under my paw, and he has lots of courage now!

A few weeks ago, I was slowing down in my walking and was in pain, but nobody knew exactly why. Mom found a great vet, and they discovered I had a herniated disc in my back, which was compressing my spine. The doctors recommended surgery where they removed a large amount of disc material from my spinal canal. I have a long road ahead of me...I'm getting stronger everyday!

I am reaching out to you because my mom had to open a new credit card account for me to have this surgery. So far, the cost of the surgery and follow-up visits is 9400.00. My mom is working full-time, but this has been a struggle. If you don't already know me, I hope we get to meet in the future and you can see how your help has made it possible for me to run and play!
