Ludlow, VT Flood. Friends & Family of the Neves

On July 10th, 2023 a historic flood hit the town of Ludlow, Vermont; the home of Okemo Mountain Resort. This small town of under 1,000 people has months of recovery ahead of them. The town is full of outstanding, capable humans; and they need our help!

I grew up in Ludlow, as did six generations before me. In an instant, I watched, in horror, as a force of nature ravaged my town, my family, my friends our history and all of their businesses. The flooding touched every business on Main Street and nearly every home of everyone I know.

A catastrophic flood on this scale is an anomaly in a mountain community. Most home/business insurance companies do not cover flooding. In a town where the main industry is tourism, this will be an unimaginable financial mountain to climb. I am reaching out to my network to help raise funds to go directly to my friends and family in the town of Ludlow. Folks lost their entire heating systems in their basements, all of the coolers and freezers that support their restaurant, their cars, belongings and machinery; and they need swift monetary support.

I have been inspired (as I always have been) by the way the Ludlow community is rising up to support each other in the cleanup. I know that this virtual community can rise up as well, and supply the town with the dollars it so desperately needs.

I will ensure any dollar that gets donated will go directly to a family or a business of a resident of Ludlow, Vermont. As the funds get dispursed, I will list them here.
