Luekemia Treatment for Ghana Family

Hello dear friends and family,
This fundraiser is to support a dear family whom I have become very close with over the years, and their beautiful son, Seth Amoah, a 10 year old boy that lives in Takoradi, Ghana.
Seth was diagnosed with Leukemia in March of this year and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments ever since. I have been in close contact with his older brothers, Richard and James, ever since his diagnosis to offer my support and medical advice. Just recently the eldest, James, told me of the significant financial difficulties his family is facing because of the costs of treatments.
I met this beautiful family over three years ago on my second trip to Ghana to help with medical clinics. These brothers would always volunteer to help us as we set up medical treatment clinics to serve the rural communities of Ghana. The boys would volunteer their whole days to working with me and the rest of the medical clinic. Helping to counsel on medications, translate to patients, and do many many of the tasks needed to keep the clinic running. I have consistently stayed in touch with this family even with the distance of the Atlantic ocean between us. This year I was unable to go to Ghana due to the circumstances of COVID-19. When I learned of Seth's diagnosis it saddened me even more to realize that this year I would not be able to see him and his family. I feel that the least I can do is to help to fundraise to provide this amazing family with some incredibly needed financial support.
Anything that you can give helps. And if you can't give that is totally understandable too, and I still thank you for taking the time to read this :). I know that just helping one family can have a significant downstream effect of kindness and I have no doubt that this family will carry on acts of kindness for the duration of their lives, as this is how they have always lived. They have always helped others when in need, and now they are finding themselves in need.
