HOPE and LOVE for Luis and his family

This is my nephew Luis, who was the closest thing I had to a son until my own children were born.

This is a picture of Luis, at his last birthday party, holding his 2 year old son on his lap. Luis and his wife Cristina, who were high school sweethearts, have another baby on the way.

About a month ago, Luis learned that he has an inoperable brain tumor, a grade III glioma.

The coming weeks and months will be tough on Luis and his growing family. He will be starting radiation and chemotherapy with the hopes of keeping the tumor from growing and preserving his quality of life.

Luis is a wonderful and strong husband, father, son, brother, and nephew. He is funny, loyal, joyful and caring. He works as a teacher and dedicates himself to enthusiastically helping young people grow.

He has stayed strong and positive throughout this nightmare, cheering on his loved ones. He says he'll fight until his last breath to meet his unborn child and to spend the maximum amount of time with his family. He is full of gratitude for the support that surrounds him.

His wife Cristina is working hard to pick up the pieces as she prepares to have a baby in October.

Please help me help Luis and Cristina with medical costs, trips to see specialists, and in supporting their family as he is unable to work.

I believe that Luis and Cristina and their growing family deserve every chance they can get. I hope you agree.
