On Wednesday November 29th, 2023 Luis and his father tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in Guatemala. To know the Kwait's was to know Luis. Luis was truly an integral part of our family and his loss leaves a huge void in this world. Luis was a teddy bear - he was the strongest, most caring, loving, supportive, kind, and giving soul. Everything Luis did and made was "with lots of love" - his go to phrase. Everyone has their own Luis story. I have too many to pick. Whether it was watching Luis do his magic in the kitchen, play with Chance, or even just sitting across from him each morning hearing how he "slept like a baby" brought a smile to my face. To be on the receiving end of one of Luis' bear hugs was a privilege. To know Luis was a privilege.

Luis is survived by his daughter, Gladys, his mother, Gladis, his wife, Patty and her daughter. Gladys was Luis' whole world. I know that all Luis would want now is for his daughter to be taken care of and shown love and support. That is why I am starting this fundraise. Nothing will replace the void that Luis leaves, but given how loved he was, I figure putting some money aside for his daughter is just the tip of the iceberg of what we can and will do.
