Luisito Gonzalez Health Awareness

Hi, my name is Jenise Gonzalez Luisito's sister and caregiver. First, I would like to mention that he is 37 years old with a mind of a 4 year old. We describe him as a little kid in a man's body. This is Luisito's Story. Back in January 2023 Luisito was admitted to the hospital in critical conditions due to Aspiration Pneumonia which was caused by a stomach obstruction. Luisito spent 2 months intubated in an induced coma. After he was awake they tried to work with him to take the tube out for him to breathe on his own but he couldn't manage to do so. On the 3rd time of him getting intubated his right lung collapsed putting his life back at risk. That was when the doctor made the decision to do the tracheostomy on Luisito to help him breathe. On top of that Luisito had to get a Peg Tube done due to the tracheostomy which prevented him to eat on his own. After 2 weeks before he was discharged on March 2023, they decided to take the tracheostomy out because he was slowly making progress breathing on his own with the help of Nasal Cannula which helped deliver supplemental oxygen back into his lungs. Luisito then was sent home on March 23rd, 2023 because the doctors had informed me that he was "fully recovered" and they had only given me instructions on how to keep his peg tube clean and that he could only eat pure food and drink liquids which caused him to have Aspiration Pneumonia for the 2nd time leading him to be admitted to the hospital again on April 25th, 2023 in critical care. Thank God he wasn't intubated but they had him on strong antibiotics which he managed to recover from and he was sent home on May 9th, 2023 with instructions of him not being able to eat by mouth only feeds through his peg tube and still with oxygen support. Luisto needs help with his ambulance bills due to him being weak he can't walk which means he also can't use our stairs since we live on a 2nd floor apartment. Also, Luisito needs some personal essentials like adult wipes, barrier creams, bed pads, bed sheets for his hospital bed here at home, etc. That's why i'm asking for your kindness and support for him. Every penny counts to help my brother. Luisito deserves to be fine with no worries about what's coming behind him, all he needs is to be loved and supported throughout his Journey. Thank you for your love, your time, and your support towards luisito.
