Luis' Medical Mission to Nicaragua

I am a senior at the University of Utah and am preparing to go on a medical mission to Nicaragua next month on May 7th. Me and a group of University of Utah students will be going on this medical brigade with the non-profit organization Global Brigades.  I am the vice-president of education for my team and will be giving presentations (charlas) about oral hygiene to the people in a rural community of Managua, Nicaragua.  

I am needing to raise this money by April 20th to be able to go on this trip.  This money will help cover the travel expenses, food, lodging, and transportation.

 I am a non-traditional student. I'm 38 years old and will be graduating with my first bachelor’s degree next year. My wife and I have two little boys, one that was just born a few weeks ago.  

I am planning on applying to grad school next year for the physician assistant program and would love to have this experience to enrich my medical experience. This medical mission will give me the chance to serve and to use my talents to help these Nicaraguan people that live in an area where healthcare is not readily accessible.
