Luk Deng Awel

My name is Rebecca Deng. For those who have asked to honor our brother, Luk , we are sharing this link to make your honoring easy. Luk passed away on November 20, 2022, after a long battle with a brain injury. He was 41 years.

Luk came to the United States as one of Sudan's Lost Boys in 2001. He was attacked in 2017 and spent a very long time in the hospital before he recuperated.

We are all devastated by Luk’s loss, and we are giving him the memorial he deserves, and saying our last goodbyes.
