Luke B (Stubs) The Road to Recovery

On Sunday February 14th 2021, our mate Luke (Stubs) was enjoying a night out with some mates. Unfortunately, this evening lead to a horrific accident at the Marina Pier, Glenelg where he suffered severe head injuries and a fractured neck.
The past few weeks have been extremely tough on his family and friends. Upon admission to the RAH, he underwent emergency brain surgery, and following this he was put in an induced coma for a few weeks. He remains in ICU at the RAH for the time being, He is now amazingly awake and responding to voices. His recovery is going to be a long, difficult journey and it is not known when he can work again, but he has given every indication that there is light at the end of the tunnel. These little wins have been crucial to provide all concerned with some positivity moving forward.
So legends, it is time for us to unite and do everything in our power to help our mate as you all know he would be the first to lend a hand wherever he could. I have created this page in the hope of generating some financial assistance to aid Luke’s recovery. The account will be managed by his parents, Dave and Lorraine. The money raised will fund Luke’s long rehabilitation and future journey. It is unknown how much support Luke will require but either way it is going to be a tough battle. This platform will also be used to update you all on Luke’s progress.
As we all know, Stubs is a bloody legend with a beautiful heart and because of this, his circle of friends is far and wide. He is well aware that he is blessed to be surrounded by so much goodness.
So please join me to raise some money to assist our man Stubs on his journey to recovery. Let’s get that legend smiling again, back out in the water, following the sun and living the dream. Let's keep that fire burnin'.
