Hi family, friends, and colleagues.
We’re coming together to ask for donations on behalf of Luke, his wife Deana, and their three children (Mike, Belle, and Ava), as they begin on the life-changing path to battle Luke’s recent diagnosis with a very rare germ cell cancer.
Luke had been experiencing unusual fatigue and discomfort. Discussing with his physician, it was decided to investigate further into the cause. It was shortly after when doctors informed Luke and his family that results confirmed germ cell, a rare form of testicular cancer, which had spread to Luke’s liver and colon. Luke spent several days at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center as his family and team of specialists developed a plan. After being released, Luke immediately began his first chemo treatment and is now aggressively fighting this battle.
Anyone who knows Luke and Deana would be hard pressed to find better people in this world. They are always present and available to the people in their lives, and they never ask for anything in return. In fact, convincing them to allow us to create this GoFundMe page wasn’t easy. They are givers, not takers, and their young children are already following in their parents’ footsteps.
