Lukeamia is a killer, and it finally did

Hi my name is Chris and I’m raising funds to help support my family during my partners fight with Lukeamia which has been going on for more the 18 months!

We have two boys, the youngest has known nothing but visiting mummy in hospital, going to appointments, having a rubbish Christmas!!. The eldest had just started high school and really missed him mum at this emotional and confusing time.

I can’t work as much as I did, as we are short on childcare, can’t afford after school clubs and having to rely on friends and family (as long as they don’t get ill as my partner is very immuno compromised and any cold etc can lead to a visit to intensive care). Therefore we are constantly very short of money and it’s getting a real struggle to pay for basics, tunnel fees and petrol so we can go visit my partner who is at Clatterbridge cancer centre in liverpool

UPDATE

my beautiful wonderful partner was finally taken by the big C on Friday the 7th after getting a number of nasty infections, the most aggressive lead to swollen throat and a great difficulty breathing. She was not able to talk and was very weak having to use a white board to write messages. We were told on Friday (7th) that they could do nothing more as treatment would only prolong the pain and not cure infections!. This broke us but she was so strong and decided to finish treatment and say goodbye to her close friends and family. She managed to say goodbye to her two boys and her many friends. I was holding her hand when she passed telling her how much we all loved her.

So many people have been touched by her passing and I have realised how lucky I was to have her as the mother of my two children, my lover and my best friend! I miss her so very much.

We are now trying to raise as much money as possible to make her funeral as amazing as she was. Please please if this story touches you or if you knew loz please give what you can so we can get the things she would want at her celebration and funeral. I really can’t afford much and that is adding to my feeling of total loss and breaking heart
