On Wednesday, April 19th Luke was playing basketball with friends at the Bennett Rec Center when he suddenly had a seizure. He was rushed to the hospital where they discovered that he has a large brain tumor.
Luke's prognosis is good. The doctors do not believe that the tumor is cancerous, and they have scheduled surgery to remove it on Wednesday, April 26th, followed by 8-12 weeks of recovery that will include rehabilitation.
Positive and upbeat as always, Luke has a great attitude about his diagnosis and is ready to face his surgery and recovery head on. The biggest struggle for his family will be the financial toll of Luke's extended time out of work as well as their share of the medical expenses.
Luke, Karla, Kolton, and Kason greatly appreciate any help you can offer during this difficult time. They are especially grateful for your prayers!
