Lula's Special Education Tuition Fund
Donation protected
My daughter Lula is bright and socially high functioning.
Lula is not neurotypical; she has several learning disabilities. The public school system fought me for several years to provide her with an IEP (Independent Education Program). During that time, her self-esteem plummeted as she witnessed her peers learning faster.
Thanks to a fantastic special education attorney, who has taken our case pro bono, we have been able to amend Lula's IEP and receive more care. There just isn't enough time and support to catch Lula up to grade level. Lula struggles with wanting to attend school. Public schools are not equipped to help Lula and kids like her learn.
The Westmark School deals specifically with ADHD and learning disabilities; however, the tuition, with financial aid, is more than I can afford now. They don't have a scholarship program as of yet. This is a school she could potentially attend in grades 6-12. They have nine students per classroom and 247 kids total!
This school is perfect for my daughter, and I know she will thrive and regain confidence once she has the proper academic structure. Lula is entitled to learn and deserves the care needed to catch up and feel confident. Please help us reach our goal so she can receive the education she deserves.
Thank you so much for participating. Please share and know that we are very thankful to you.
