A New Home for Lunar Agile Learning Centre

Hello awesome people We need your help to grow this amazing community of young folk!

Lunar Agile Learning Centre is a youth-led learning environment where children and teenagers aged 10-15 years can come together as a community with friends, being their full selves whilst ensuring they are regulated and comfortable.

Initially, a pilot project that started in a couple of rooms in St Ives, Lunar turned into something really beautiful that has been consistently growing and changing lives since 2021.

As we face the constraints of existing within an increasingly unsuitable space we realise that to create the wider impact we believe we can have, we need to find a bigger space.

Hence this appeal to help us find a new home!

We are currently hunting for a suitable space in the Penzance area and are in talks with the local council and property agents.

Thanks to you we've already raised almost half of our target which means we're well on our way to being able to move into a new home for Lunar Agile Learning Centre!!!

50% of the children we work with have an autism diagnosis, and 75% are neurodivergent.

Having this kind of environment available is truly life-changing; children go from being isolated, anxious, unable to attend school, disengaged from learning and community to having trusting relationships with adults, incredible friendships with peers, and rediscovering their joy and love of learning.

With your backing, we can move into a new home in September, increasing our offer from 10 children to supporting 18 children and teenagers.

Having set our sights on a space we started fundraising and were amazed by the response, sadly this fell through and our hunt for a new home continues.

We are pretty gutted but also very positive!

Our destination is clear, to make that happen we need your support!

❤️ Your financial assistance will allow us to cover the legal expenses of securing premises suitable for young people to use in different ways: decorating, furniture, sensory furniture and equipment to deck the space out for the awesome children & teenagers we work with. Quiet spaces, comfy spaces, creative spaces, wild spaces.
