Luna’s Ectopic Ureter Surgery
Donation protected
Luna was rescued in October of 2021 at 8 weeks old. As most of you may know, she is the most kind and good natured soul and loves her human and pet friends. Over the first year of Luna’s life, she had issues with inappropriate urination. After 5 urinary tract infections, trying different medications, and many diagnostics we decided to ultrasound. Luna is suspected to have an ectopic ureter which will continue to cause urinary tract infections- causing permanent damage over time. Luna will be meeting with a surgeon at Maine Veterinary Medical Center on Saturday to plan for CT scan (or cystoscopy) with surgery to follow. I have taken out a gigantic loan and put myself in considerable debt to cover the costs of this procedure (MVMC is worth every dollar and I can’t be grateful enough for their promptness and help). Luna’s pet insurance unfortunately won’t cover this procedure because they are considering it pre-existing. Luna is my kid and I would do anything to save her any suffering and give her the longest life possible. I know times are tough for everyone and I feel awful asking but if anyone wishes to donate I will be forever grateful.
